What is Nosework?

Tap into your dog’s instinct to search and find with this exciting class. This is an amazing way to exercise your dog’s mind and tire them out without high impact exercise. No special equipment is needed to practice at home. Come and see how incredible your dog’s nose is by allowing them to experience this fascinating class.  

Nosework Classes

Nosework Introduction

  • This 6-week course will introduce you to this new, exciting, detection-style sport.

    This course is designed to develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their curiosity, desire to hunt, and their love of toys, food and exercise. 

    It's a great way for any dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy. 

  • Length: 6 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Introduction Part 2

  • This 6-week course is a continuation of Nosework Introduction.

    This class will introduce more intricate searches and expand into the addition of odor.

    Prerequisite: Students that have successfully completed the Nosework Introduction course . 

  • Length: 6 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Intermediate

  • This 6-week course is geared to those students that have successfully completed the Nosework Introduction course. 

    This is the next level in this new, exciting, detection-style sport. 

    It is designed to further develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their curiosity, desire to hunt, and their love of toys, food and exercise. 

    More difficult searches both inside and outside will be worked in this class.

  • Length: 6 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Introduction to Odor

  • In this class, odor (birch, anis or clove) will be introduced and paired with food or toys to prepare your dog to search independently for odor and to compete in canine nosework.

  • Pre-Requisite: Nosework Intermediate

    Length: 4 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Introduction to Odor Part 2

  • This the the second part in the with introducing , odor (birch, anis or clove).

    They will be introduced and paired with food or toys to prepare your dog to search independently for odor and to compete in canine nosework.

  • Pre-Requisite:
    Nosework Introduction to Odor 1

    Length: 4 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Odor & Continuing

  • This is the next level in this new, exciting, detection-style sport.

    These classes will introduce and use odor and is designed to further develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their curiosity, desire to hunt, and their love of toys, food and exercise. 

    Exterior searches, vehicle searches and more difficult interior searches will be worked in the Continuing courses.

  • Pre-Requisite: Nosework Intermediate

    Length: 6 Weeks

Nosework Beginner Skill Building

  • For students that have completed Nosework Odor & Continuing

  • Pre-Requisite:
    Nosework Odor & Continuing

    Length: 4 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Competition

  • For students that have completed Nosework Odor & Continuing and are looking to compete in trials.

  • Pre-Requisite:
    Nosework Odor & Continuing

    Length: 6 Weeks

    Duration: 1-hour

Nosework Trial Prep

  • This 4-week class will run for 2 hours and is open house style, you can come and go within the two hour window of the class.

    This class is a gentle introduction into the Functionality of Nosework Trial.

  • Pre-Requisite: Nosework Odor & Continuing

    Length: 4 Weeks
